Poker big guns sign up for Asian Poker Classic

By Erin Warner

Maybe it's the beautiful beaches of Goa; perhaps it's the $1 million guaranteed jackpot. For whatever reason, the stars are coming out to play at the Asian Poker Classic in India March 1-5.

The event, which boasts the impressive jackpot with a minimum $250,000 overlay, is one of the richest tournaments in the world, and it is taking place in the coastal resort community of Goa.

So far, pros such as Ram Vaswani, Arshad Hussain, Surinder Sunar, Lee Nelson and Mel Judah have all committed to playing in the televised event.

The three-day championship will take place at the Intercontinental Grand Resort and is expected to draw more poker pros, celebrities and online players.

Players interested in giving these latest pros to sign up a run for their money can reserve a spot or book a direct buy-in online at www.asianpokerclassic.com.

Other options include qualifying through a variety of online poker rooms, such as Pacific Poker.
