Poker authors return to battle in Atlantic City

You've read their poker books, studied their recommended strategies and now you can put their poker knowledge to the test at the Second Annual Poker Author Challenge. The tournament will take place at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City on Sunday.

The inaugural battle of the poker authors took place in January at Binion's in Las Vegas. There, Lou Krieger proved why he is one of the most-respected poker authors when he won the tournament.

He will return to defend his poker author champion title this weekend and face several poker authors and those who wish to challenge them.

The tournament costs $125, and participants will get to go up against authors such as Krieger, James McManus, Sheree Bykofsky, Peter Alson, David Apostolico, Bill Burton, Tony Guerrera, Dan Kimberg, Neil D. Myers, Authur Reber and more.

Registrations begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday, and the tournament will start at noon. During the registration period, participants will also get a chance to meet the authors, get books signed and take advantage of free poker consultations.

The No-Limit Hold'em tournament will also feature bounties on all of the poker authors in the game - knock out an author and earn yourself a bonus prize.

In his blog about the January event, Krieger said, "I think all of the authors in attendance had a good time … Many of the players came down to meet their favorite poker authors, buy books, play some poker and have a good time at Binion's."
