Everybody usually thinks big when it comes to the World Series of Poker. But think small, and PokerRoom.com will get you in the mix for as little as $5 with its "pocket-size" qualifiers.
Pick your game - Pot-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo or No-Limit Hold'em - and there's a qualifier to suit you; three $30+$3 "pocket-size" finals are planned, all with $6,400 prize packages to WSOP events for the winner.
First up is Pot-Limit Hold'em, with a final scheduled for May 13.
Qualifiers run three times a day right up until then at $5+50¢, with winners getting tickets to the $30+$3 final.
Final winner then receives the $2,000 buy-in to WSOP Pot-Limit Hold'em Event 37 on June 22, with flights, accommodation and $500 spending money. Second and third place win a $650+$50 tournament ticket.
Next up is a Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo final on May 20.
First place guarantees the $1,500 buy-in for WSOP Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Event 42 on June 25, plus flights, accommodation and $1,000 spending money. Second and third place also win a $650+$50 tournament ticket.
Qualifiers for that final run five times a day, also with $5+50¢ buy-ins.
Last up is a No-Limit Hold'em final, set for May 27.
First place in that one scores the $2,000 buy-in for WSOP No-Limit Hold'em Event 47 on June 29, plus flights, accommodation and $500 spending money. Second and third again win a $650+$50 tournament ticket.
Daily qualifiers to the final run four times a day at $5+50¢.
