Plenty of poker scheduled for Monday on GSN

Mike Matusow

GSN is upping its poker programming this Monday with a new show titled Ace in the House, in addition to the usual episode of High Stakes Poker.

HSP, considered one of the best poker shows on TV, has already had some very memorable moments in its fourth season. Highlights include Sammy Farha and Gold's loose play and relentless table chatter finally get the best of him.

This was all in addition to the largest pot in HSP history which saw Guy Laliberté get it all-in against Brunson on a board of A J 4 2. Brunson held A 10 while Laliberté had a surprising A 5. They ran it twice but Brunson came out on top winning $818,100.

We'll likely see more fireworks tomorrow as the $500,000 buy-in action continues and Laliberté, Brunson, Antionio Esfandiari, David Benyamine, Patrik Antonius, Sam Farha, Barry Greenstein and Daniel Negreanu renew their rivalries. Expect more record-setting pots.

HSP airs at 9 p.m. (EST) on GSN.

Ace in the House is a new program on GSN that might as well be called Mouth in the House because it stars Mike Matusow. In the show Matusow surprises players at a home game by dropping by and joining them for an impromptu $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em competition. Fellow poker pro Cory Zeidman will host the special.

The big question is whether Matusow will have one of his infamous meltdowns and berate a table full of amateur poker players for being amateur poker players.

You'll have to tune in at 10 p.m. (EST) on GSN to find out.
