Playtech has high hopes for PartyGaming deal
Playtech's chief executive Avigur Zmora told media this week the company is hopeful that its new deal with PartyGaming will lead to further deals in the future.
PartyGaming Plc., which owns PartyPoker.com, recently acquired several new poker and online casino sites which run on Playtech's software. Earlier this week, the two companies signed an agreement for those sites to remain on Playtech's software.
The four-year deal establishes a relationship between the two companies, which Zmore hopes will smooth the way for future deals.
One area that Playtech could help PartyGaming out with is its Asian business. Both have already stated they're looking towards Asia now that the U.S. is creating tighter restrictions on online gambling.
Playtech already launched Mahjong and Pachinko in Asia in December, and PartyGaming could benefit from already established software geared toward Asian communities.
