PlayersOnly Poker Million Dollar Freeroll returns

The first monthly tournament for the Million Dollar Freeroll series has come and gone, but now players at PlayersOnly Poker have a second shot at big money with the second freeroll coming up on Sunday.

The freeroll is one of 10 monthly tournaments that will make up a total $1 million prize pool at the poker site. Players can qualify to play either through freerolls or cash satellites, or with a direct buy-in of $50.

Each month, the tournament will have a $100,000 prize pool with the top player taking home $75,000.

The winner of the first Million Dollar Freeroll will be returning again this Sunday to try to make it two in a row after already qualifying to play again.

"They haven't seen the last of me yet," said September's champion. "There's a million bucks up for grabs here, and I'm ready to take it all!"

Poker players who haven't yet got their invitation to the tournament to challenge last month's champion can still win their way into the event all this week.

The poker site is hosting qualifying freerolls twice a day all through the week. There are also three cash satellites for as low as $2 where players can win a free seat.

According to PlayersOnly Poker, there are also special opportunities for Gold Chip players to win a seat, as well as one of 25 seats being awarded through a Deposit Bonus Lottery. Of course, there's always the option of paying the $50 buy-in to play, too.

"I love the excitement of a tournament - a chance to win big cash without a huge risk," said a player who won his seat in the monthly freeroll last week. "I don't really expect to take first place, but since there's cash prizes for the top thirty, I'm thinking I could be in the money!"

The payout structure for each monthly freeroll in the Million Dollar Freeroll series is:

• 1st place - $75,000
• 2nd place - $10,000
• 3rd place - $10,000
• 4th place - $2,500
• 5th place - $1,000
• 6th-10th place - $500
• 11th-20th place - $300
• 21st-30th place - $100

The October monthly tournament will take place this Sunday at 9 p.m. (EST). The schedule for the rest of the Million Dollar Freerolls is:

• November Final: Sunday, Dec. 2
• December Final: Sunday, Jan. 6
• January Final: Sunday, Jan. 27
• February Final: Sunday, March 2
• March Final: Sunday, April 6
• April Final: Sunday, May 4
• May Final: Sunday, June 1
• June Final: Sunday, June 29
