Players race for cash at RedKings Poker

The Prize Money

By Sarah Polson

During the next three to four months, poker players at RedKings Poker will be working to earn player points to get a piece of more than $100,000 the poker site is planning to pay out in its Points Race Special.

"After conducting a survey amongst our biggest cash-game and tournament players over the past few months the overwhelming response was for a Player Points Ranking competition and so the race is now on," said a RedKings Poker spokesperson.

"Top players love the kudos of being the named the biggest at our poker room so we have decided to show the rankings and added $100,000 in cash to spice things up."

The Points Race launched Sept. 1 and tracks both cash games and tournament players each week. There are four weekly competitions for cash games with the top players for that week sharing in a cash prize.

Tournament players compete in a monthly race in which the top 10 tournament point earners will share $2,000.

There is also a daily competition, with the person who amasses the most points in a single day during September earning a $1,000 prize.

"We know we have some of the biggest players online and believe they will out-play almost anyone out there," said the RedKings Poker spokesperson. "The points race is weekly to start off with, the cash prizes increasing as the weeks progress, and we invite new players to come and see how well they can do."

The Points Race isn't the only thing RedKings Poker has to offer online poker players. The poker site offers qualifiers for major live events such as the Aussie Millions, World Poker Tour events, World Series of Poker events and others.

For players who sign up at RedKings Poker through a PokerListings.com link, there's a little something extra as well. The poker site offers a $5,000 at 1,000% deposit match exclusively for PokerListings.com players.
