PKR.com offering Holiday Heaven

Christmas is coming early and staying late for players on PKR.com.

The online room just released a schedule for its Holiday Heaven, a series of 15 events with $114,000 up for grabs in prizes.

The festivities kick off this Saturday (Dec. 22) with a huge $20,000 guaranteed tournament. The hits keep coming, however, as events are scheduled right through to New Year's Day with big-money prizes on offer every night - including a massive $50,000 guaranteed.

Even players with a small bankroll will not be left out in the cold because there are six freerolls scheduled that include over $12,000 in cash prizes. These also feature a shot at one million PKR points that players can use to buy into big money tournaments or to purchase PKR merchandise and in-game gear for their avatars. Four of the freerolls will be offered on Christmas Day as a little present to PKR players.

Speaking of Christmas, on Dec. 28 there will be a special tournament where you'll get a chance to knock out the man in red himself. There will be a $500 bounty offered to the player who knocks out PKR_Santa. That player will have to deal with the karma of knocking Santa Claus out of a poker tournament, however!

If you don't manage to eliminate Santa there are always his helpers which each pay out $100 when busted out of the tournament.

In keeping with the overall Christmas theme players will be able to don special gear for their avatars made especially for the holiday period. If that's not Christmas I don't know what is.

Players can buy-in direct or satellite their way to whichever Holiday Heaven event they choose. If time is of the essence you might want to try one of PKR.com's new one-hand satellites. In the satellites only one hand is played, every player is all-in and the winner takes all. PKR is the first online room to offer the exciting poker variant.
