PKR impresses at Professional Footballers Awards

Online poker room PKR.com pulled out all the stops to throw a ritzy after-party for the players involved in the Professional Footballers Awards.

The event, which was held at London's Albannach restaurant in Trafalgar Square, brought out elite footballers like Jermain Defoe, Carlton Cole, Micah Richards, Jimmy Bullard, Anton Ferdinand and the entire Fullham first team. There was also an appearance by rugby legend Martin Offiah, as well as by numerous celebs from the world of TV and music.

"It was a great evening and a fantastic opportunity to introduce our brand to some influential people as well reward some of our loyal players," said PKR Marketing Manager Erika Schwartz.

Partygoers were able to take part in poker and casino games, with roulette and blackjack available. PKR.com also treated some of its online regulars to complimentary tickets, allowing some football fans the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of football's elite.

PKR.com is one of the newer online poker rooms and one of the first to offer a 3-D experience. PKR.com uses E-Mote technology offering customizable 3-D avatars which players can teach to give off fake tells and interact with other players.
