Rui “PepperoniF” Cao got back to his winning ways last night by taking down nearly $150k on PokerStars.
Cao fired of 1,204 hands of $100/$200 PLO and proved once again that he’s one of the best PLO players in online poker by crushing his opponents.
The Chinese-born grinder flipped between playing Fake Love888 and L0ve2playU but it didn’t really matter as he was beating anyone who had the courage to play him.
By the time Cao finally decided to call it quits he was up $143k.
That was last month, however, and since then Andreas Torbergsen has taken over the title with $1.51 million while Cao has sunk down to third place with $1.3 million. Rafi Amit holds second place with $1.4 million in profit.
Although the more well-known pros like Phil Galfond and Viktor Blom were inactive last night there were a couple name players that made it into the top five winners list.
German Benny “toweliestar” Spindler continued his exceptional run over the last week by picking up another $61k. Spindler is up to $715k in profit this year and steadily climbing.
Ben “Ben86” Tollerene also had a success evening as he won $49k. Tollerene is up nearly $300k in online poker this year.
Meanwhile David “mTw-DaviN” Georgi was the biggest loser on PokerStars last night dumping a total of $118k into the high stakes community.
Georgi used to be a successful Warcraft 3 player but has put together a substantial profit playing online poker this year. Although he’s dropped a bit over the last month he still holds a profit of $342k.
The rest of top five losers were lesser-known players such as FlipflopUK (-$113k), L0ve2playU (-$97k), Deldar182 (-$55k) and mikzoan ($50k).
