PartyPoker offers last-minute shot at APT seat

Let PartyPoker send you to Asia for the APT Macau event.
By Sarah Polson
Sunday is the last chance for poker players to win a seat to the Asian Poker Tour Macau main event through PartyPoker.
The poker site added a last-minute satellite for the major live tournament, giving players one more shot at a prize package that will seat them in the main event of the APT Macau.
The satellite is scheduled for Sunday at 3:45 p.m. ET and is limited to 20 players, so poker fans will need to act fast if they want to get in on the event. Registration opens at 1 p.m. ET, Aug. 17 and is first come, first served.
What they'll be battling for a is a prize package that includes a $5,300 buy-in for the APT Macau main event plus accommodation in a luxury hotel and $2,500 in travel and spending money.
"Word has got out about this promotion and the phones have been ringing already. Perhaps the best tip for the registration process is to be ready with the refresh button!" said a PartyPoker spokesman.
"We sent a number of players to the opening APT event in the Philippines and all the customer feedback was that the thriller in Manila was the poker trip of a lifetime."
The APT Macau will take place Aug. 27-31 at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino. As the second leg of the APT tour this season, the main event in Macau will be offering up a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool, with the winner walking away with at least $500,000.
The event is sure to attract major players from all over the world. Doyle Brunson and Todd Brunson are already confirmed to attend along with J.C. Tran, Nam Le, Quinn Do and the APT Manila winner David Saab.
