PartyGaming, Plc. not interested in Victor Chandler Group
PartyGaming, Plc. chief executive Mitch Garber recently put the rumors to rest by saying that the company has no interest in Victor Chandler Group. Reports had been circulating that PartyGaming, Plc. is one of the three companies who've put in unsolicited bids to acquire the group.
In July, the Victor Chandler Group, which operates VC Poker, hired a corporate-finance firm to analyze and give advice about three unsolicited purchase bids the company had received. At the time, it wasn't revealed who had made the bids.
Since then reports were leaked that PartyGaming, Plc., which owns and operates PartyPoker.com, was the lead bidder seeking to acquire the company.
When asked if PartyGaming, Plc. had any plans to purchase the Victor Chandler group, Garber's answer was a definite no, and commented that whoever had written about the rumors that were out there about a purchase hadn't talked him about them.
