Party Poker Software

Party Poker offers players a very competitive privately developed software that is relatively fast, stable and secure.

The software comes as a download version for all major operating systems - Mac, PC and Linux - making it an excellent choice for all players. The Party Poker software is also available in several different languages and offers a wide array of deposit options.

The software offers the usual functions available on most software as well as some additional features that make it a very decent choice for multi-table play. Support options are also good, with all the most common poker games plus several non-poker offerings, such as Backgammon, Bingo, Sportsbetting and Casino games.

Thanks to the very good player volume at Party Poker, even the more obscure games are guaranteed to have players at any hour of the day.

Overall, the software works very well, offers good functionality and is updated frequently to ensure stability and security.

Statistics

The data and statistics functions in Party Poker's software allow you to take notes on your opposition during play, and the lobby supplies vital table statistics like average pot size and hands played per hour. There is, however, no indication of flop-call percentage.

The Party Poker lobby and software have gone through significant updates on the whole over the last year and are now very useful and stable, with an easy-to-use navigation system. The hand history function in the software saves the hand histories on the player's local hard drive for a pre-set number of days.

Multi-Table

The Party Poker software supports play at up to twelve tables simultaneously; multi-table play runs smooth and problem free. Party Poker's software is well suited for multi-table play since it is fast, reliable and has good audio and graphics functions for alerting a player.

The software supports the option to "auto resize" all open tables, meaning they will resize and spread out evenly on the screen with the click of your finger. Resizing does not work for Omaha and Seven-Card Stud games, although the four-table restriction may keep some of the hardcore multi-table players away anyway.

Graphics

The graphics of the Party Poker software are well matched and informative. Tables and numbers show up as red to alert a player in the lobby of something important, and white and green are used to separate text fields. The software allows the player to choose from a list of avatars that actually look decent.

The table functions are easy to learn and well-oriented on the table. The play takes place on a now-classic, oblong, green felt table with traditional table seating. All sound and animations can be turned on or off, as well as the sometimes very annoying congratulations message that, as standard, plays after you win a hand.

Special Features

The Party Poker software offers the basic features, such as a full four-color deck and basic customization, but also some nice extras such as deal making, speed tournaments and six-handed tables.

Overall the software performs great and offers all the features most players need to enjoy hassle-free poker.
