Atlantic City by Ron Miguel

Party Poker is set to run a $500,000-guaranteed New Jersey Championship of Online Poker complete with 10 separate events for US poker players.

The site released a tentative draft schedule that features buy-in levels from $50-$200 with guarantees that range from $15k to $200k.

The NJCOP, which will also be playable on Borgata Poker, will start on April 19 and run with one event every day until April 27 when the series will culminate with the $200k-GTD main event.

Interestingly Event 7 of the series is titled Players Choice and Party Poker is asking the community to chose the format and game. All other events are No-Limit Hold'em.

The Championship also begins with a $50,000-GTD freeroll.

Party Poker made news last week when its Sunday $100k broke records by drawing 786 and creating a prize pool of $145,410. It was the biggest tournament ever held in the new regulated NJ market.

The NJCOP will replace the regularly scheduled Sunday $50k and Daily $10k, which has some NJ poker fans clamoring for even more tournaments to be added to the schedule.
