PanAsia Poker Tour to debut in the Philippines this fall

The PanAsia Poker Tour (PAPT) will debut in Manila, the Philippines, Nov. 3-5 at the Airport Casino Filipino with the Philippines Open. The event will be hosted by poker personalities Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher.
The PAPT Philippines Open will feature a $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Championship event which will be taped for a future televised broadcast. Other events scheduled to take place include three $500 No-Limit Hold'em events, a $275 super satellite for the main event, and a $10,000 baccarat tournament. There will also be 24 hour sit and go tournaments as well as cash games hosted at the casino.
The tour has been sanctioned by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and is open to poker players across the world who are interested in testing their skills against celebrity and professional players.
Hyped as a world-class poker tour dedicated to bringing poker to Pan-Asia, the PAPT is planning to host ten different events across Pan-Asia in 2007. In addition to the Philippines, events are schedule for Macau, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
