Pacific Poker now accredited through eCOGRA
Pacific Poker is the latest recipient of the eCommerce and Online Gambling Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) accreditation and "Play It Safe" seal, bringing the total number of eCOGRA approved sites to 111.
The nonprofit player protection and standards authority now endorses some 21 online poker rooms and 90 online casinos with its "Play It Safe" seal, assuring players of fair games and efficient and responsive treatment.
"Professional interest in improving business through better and more player-sensitive operational conduct continues to attract applicants to the well-proved eCOGRA system," said Andrew Beveridge, CEO of eCOGRA.
"Several significant online gambling operations are currently undergoing our acceptance inspection process and we hope to make further announcements before the end of the year," Beveridge continued.
eCOGRA, which has been voluntarily conducting these reviews since 2003, requires online gambling venues to pass a series of thorough probity, inspection and independent monitoring regimes in order to be accredited and awarded the "Play It Safe" seal.
"The initiative remains open to all online gambling software providers and licensees prepared to commit to the eCOGRA principals and requirements for better service and player protection."
