Only Poker hasn’t been around for very long, but is a nice option for the American online poker player as it not only accepts U.S. players but also U.S. credit card deposits.

As you can tell from the name, Only Poker is all about poker. The software was developed by poker players and includes everything you expect from an up-to-date poker site - table stats, quick play, multi-table ability for over 10 tables and lots more great support features.

Only Poker makes its home on the Cake poker network, which nowadays is among the ten biggest poker networks in the world. The general player quality isn’t of top-ten standard, however – you will be able to find plenty of fish at the Only Poker tables, especially in the small-stakes games.

One of the site’s special features is the possibility to change your screen name once every seven days, so a hungry shark will have every opportunity to take advantage of the loose and juicy action.

The game variety is pretty much standard - Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. Bonus Payout: Bonuses are paid out in $10 increments based on Frequent Player Points (FPPs) accumulated through real-money ring- or tournament-game play (167 FPPs = $10 in bonus money). The bonus expires in 90 days, dated from the posting of your Pending Bonus funds to your account.

You earn FPPs when you're dealt cards at any real-money ring game. You'll earn 1 FPP for every dollar raked (if your table was raked $1.25, for example, you'll earn 1.25 FPPs). In tournament play, you'll earn 7 FPPs per dollar in tournament fees paid.

Loyalty Program/Promotions

Only Poker offers a loyalty system based on frequent player points with "Gold Chips" and "Gold Cards" available. Whenever you play at real-money games or pay tournament fees, you earn Frequent Player Points, which fill in your "Gold Chip Meter."

Once your meter is full, you get a Gold Chip. The Gold Chips are redeemable for free tournament play and prizes.

Players earn Gold Cards at real-money ring games when a certain amount of rake is collected. Once you've hit the amount at your table, a Gold Card will be randomly selected from the Vault and displayed at the end of the hand.

If the Gold Card matches one of your hole cards you win that Gold Card, even if you folded your cards during the hand. Once you've won a Gold Card, you have several ways to win with including a daily lottery, weekly races, and a special jackpot.

Only Poker also has a nice freeroll schedule named "Freeroll Into Millions" giving players the chance to qualify for big guaranteed tournaments. Several daily freerolls are also offered. Only Poker's biggest tournaments are the weekly $100,000 guaranteed and the monthly $250,000 guaranteed. There are also two daily guarantee tournaments: a $10k at 1:30 p.m. and a $20k at 7:30 p.m. A lot of other tourneys are available as well, with buy-ins as low as 25¢. The tournaments generally have good structure and are usually decently populated.

The Only Poker software is solid with fast and smooth games, nice graphics and good playability. Everything is customizable: the color of the deck, table size, preferred buy-in for ring games (counted in x blinds), where you sit graphically, and much more. You can even change your screen name!

The note-taking function is, however, a little difficult to use as players are chosen in a scroll-down list instead of being clicked on. Multi-table play at OnlyPoker is easy and smooth and works well with the stats tools.

The latest version of the software supports play at 10 tables simultaneously and allows you to sit at any position. The resize table function offers three different table sizes. You can also tile or cascade the tables and view an unlimited number.

Only Poker graphics are clean and move fast without using too much computer power and avatars are nice-looking. The tables are oval and the felt is blue, surrounded by chairs and a casino-like setting (in the "classic" mode).

The graphics can be a bit cluttered, though, and some players may find it hard to get a good overview of the play. If that's the case, you can choose to play in the "simple" mode.

One rare feature is the possibility to change your screen name once every seven days. Most poker sites don't allow you to change your nickname at all. Another interesting feature is the table chat is disabled (for all players) in all-in situations in tournaments.

This stops players from revealing their hand and giving up crucial information. On the other hand the possibility to trash-talk - an important part of the game - gets lost. Players with low self-esteem might find it comforting to get a nice round of applause when they win a pot (in cash games).

Otherwise there are no groundbreaking special features, but most are really useful and help players customize their playing experience.

The small-stakes games at Only Poker are generally very loose and often have a viewed-flop percentage of 50%-60% at full tables. A solid Holdem player will have a good chance to make a profit.
