Online tournaments have begun for ASOP

By Sarah Polson

The CAP Spring Break in the Bahamas will be bringing with it the Affiliate Series of Poker (ASOP). The series has already begun with online tournaments that will qualify players for the live final at the conference.

In order to compete, players must be a CAP, PAP, PAW or GPWA affiliate and register at the ASOP Web site.

Once registered, the affiliates can participate in online freeroll tournaments that will get them into the offline final at the CAP Spring Break.

Online qualifiers began Tuesday, and the schedule of events is as follows: today, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday, all at 4 p.m. (EST). The top four players from each qualifier will move on to the live final.

Participants will need to download the poker software from one of the ASOP sponsors such as ActionPoker.com.

The players who make it the live final will be playing for:

  • First place: $10,000 and ASOP diamond bracelet
  • Second Place: $5,000
  • Third Place: $2,500
  • Fourth Place: $1,250
  • Fifth Place: $750
  • Sixth Place: $500

The top six players will all also receive complimentary flights and accommodation at the next CAP event, which is taking place in Barcelona.
