Driven by a surprising traffic upswing and an unexpected lust for high-stakes Hold'em, the repeated smashing of online poker records this Sept. seemed like a bit of a one-off.

An a $617k pot won by Tom "durrrr" Dwan, a $687k pot scooped by Phil Ivey - all capped off by the $723k monster won by Di "Urindanger" Dang.
