Ongame Network reschedules, expands Poker Classic

By: Sarah Polson

The Ongame Network Poker Classic (ONPC) has been rescheduled for later this year, and the network is expanding the opportunities for players to participate in the tournament. Several new qualifying sites have been added as well as a $50,000 freeroll for early qualifiers.

Online poker players can qualify for the on-land final portion of the tournament, which will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million, by playing at several different online poker sites including PokerRoom.com, HoldemPoker.com, Eurobet Poker, EuroPoker.com, Hollywood Poker, and more. Players can either buy-in directly for $5,200 or qualify via satellites also available at those sites.

The tournament begins online across all Ongame sites Nov. 4, and will play down until just 45 players remain. Those 45 players will then travel to the Casino de Barcelona to compete in the final leg of the tournament and determine the ultimate winner who will be crowned Dec. 3.

In addition, those players that qualify for the ONPC via satellite prior to Sept. 2 will be given the chance to enter the $50,000 bonus freeroll that starts Sept. 3.
