One-outer ends Day 4 at WPT final
By Erik Sylven
Day 4 of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship at the Bellagio ended dramatically. Richard Anthony caught the one remaining nine in the deck on the river to eliminate Tom Schrieber in 28th place. Meanwhile, Paul Lee is the new chip leader at the Bellagio.
Paul Lee (pictured) sits with $3,600,000 in his stack while previous leader Phil Hellmuth has dropped to 18th place with $738,000.
A few other well-known pros are among the 27 who will fight for a seat at the final table today: Carlos Mortensen, Scott Fishman, Paul Wasicka and Roland De Wolfe.
World Poker Tour chairman Lyle Berman didn't, however, make it past Day 4. He ran into Sorel Mizzi's pocket aces and had to leave the tournament in 29th place, earning $92,820.
Berman was in good company though as top players such as Jared Hamby and Patrik Antonius busted out as well on Day 4.
