PKR released the schedule for its 2009 Oktoberfest tournament series today.

Following up on a successful event last year, PKR will be offering a total of 10 tournaments in the span of 10 days starting Oct. 15 with buy-ins ranging from $8 to $30.

Once again there will be a diverse range of formats with Deep Stack, Double Chance and Terminator events along with Omaha Hi-Lo, Re-Buy and Ante Special events, which are new for this year.

"This year's Oktoberfest is even more accessible than ever with extremely affordable buy-ins," said PKR cardroom manager Neil Wright.

"We've decided to run the festival alongside our new Primetime tournaments, which have proven to be hugely popular, so now players can get the great value of Oktoberfest events and also have a shot at another top tournament - all in the same night."

The festival will culminate in an unusual variable freeroll where players get more chips added to their starting stack for every Oktoberfest tournament they take part in. In other words - play more Oktoberfest events, get a bigger stack. $5,000 will be up for grabs in the freeroll.

As usual PKR will offer a variety of satellite tournaments to qualify for the 2009 Oktoberfest. Click here for the complete schedule.

It's been a busy couple months for PKR. The online room, which bills itself as "next generation," also recently released Mac-compatible software and celebrated registering its three millionth player.
