Kenny Nguyen took down the WSOP Circuit main event at Harrah’s Chester Tuesday.

The professional poker player from Lynwood, IL earned $94,901 with the win.

Although the $156,212 he took home from his final table appearance at the 2009 WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City remains his career best score, this WSOPC victory marks his first major tournament win.

A total of 269 players competed in the three-day $1,580 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Championship Event, creating a $391,395 prizepool.

The field was whittled down to 55 on the first day and to a final table of nine Monday with Ramana Epparla holding the lead and seven-time WSOPC finalist Ari Engel's name on the marquee.

However, Epparla ran big slick into aces early on to give away the lead and eventually bust third while Engel could do no better than a fourth-place finish.

Robert Scott, a 38-year-old entrepreneur who owns and operates a hair supply business in New York City, was beaten heads up by Nguyen.

But thanks to a deep run in an earlier side event, he was named Harrah’s Chester Casino champion and earned a seat in the WSOPC National Championship $1 million freeroll later this month in Las Vegas.

Nguyen's victory earned him a seat as well.

Next up for the WSOPC is its annual trip to Harrah’s New Orleans, which is already underway.

Here's how the final table finished up in Chester:

1 Kenny Nguyen $94,901

2 Robert Scott $58,639

3 Ramana Epparla $42,366

4 Ari Engel $31,179

5 Sean Knitter $23,358

6 Ed Cotter $17,799

7 Robert Hwang $13,790

8 Ryan Waddell $10,858

9 Huy Nguyen $8,685
