Ziigmund goes on half-mil Hold'em heater

Ilari Sahamies
Ilari Sahamies: Blazing.

By Christopher Hunt

A few more heaters like the one Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies has been on over the last day or so and who knows? We may see the dream $1,000/$2,000 "Ziigmund's Colosseum" table yet.

Proving yet again he's one of the most fearless players in the game, everyone's favorite drunken master has gone on another tear of note over the last 24 hours, racking up big pot after bit pot on his way to almost a half million in profit.

His total take from Hold'em games today alone: a tidy $483,496, with several big hands at Full Tilt's marquee $500/$1,000 RailHeaven table again the main reason.

Only downside for Ziig: His total profit for the week overall is just $131,898, as it seems he blew through most of that potential profit in a few losing sessions over the weekend.

Ah well. Easy come, easy go, easy come again for Ziigmund - who, if he does ever string together a few huge heaters, may just get the scratch to make that private $1k/$2k table (which he suggested Full Tilt give him in a chat with Phil Ivey) a reality. The railbirds can dream, anyway.

The biggest pot this time around - and second-biggest online so far this week - was for a massive $450k and came, naturally, against the second swingiest player in the high-stakes games today, Tom "durrrr" Dwan

The hand history, as tracked by the MarketPulse software.
