Hoss_TBF on his way to $1 million month

He is, essentially, the top Limit poker player in the world. And he plays at limits like $2k/$4k, so you can can expect pretty big numbers.

But still. You have to be working your edges pretty well to make $500k in two weeks of min-bet poker.

It gets short shrift sometimes in the NLHE-saturated poker market, but anyone who says there's no money in min-bet only has to look at Limit superstar Matt "Hoss_TBF" Hawrilenko.

Despite sitting down with the best players in the game session after session, Hawrilenko proves time and again there's room to milk the small edges in Limit poker for big money - and that he's perhaps as pure a poker genius as they come.

The numbers definitely back him up, as we're only 14 days into August and he's well on his way to a million-dollar month, based on Hold'em cash-game hands tracked by the PokerListings.com MarketPulse software.

Hoss's total profit so far this month: $565,297, and all purely from Fixed-Limit Hold'em cash games at Full Tilt.

Not only is the number impressive in its own right, it's enough to put him at the top of the online moneymakers list to this point in August, ahead of even the biggest No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha winners including Steve "MrSmokey1" Billirakis, Gus Hansen and Isaac Haxton.
