New release date for 'World Championship Poker 2'

By Sarah Polson

Oxygen Games announced today it has set a new release date for "World Championship Poker 2," its next multi-format poker game. The game will now be released April 20 across all formats instead of March 16.

The delay is due to the game's publisher wanting to spend a little more time and effort on perfecting its European localization.

"World Championship Poker 2" is considered by Oxygen Games to be the most immersive poker simulation to date. It captures the challenge and intensity of the real-world game and brings it to the game console.

When it is released, "World Championship Poker 2" will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP system and PC.

The game's publisher said it is confident media and consumers alike will not be disappointed by having to wait a little longer for the game. To make up for the delay, Oxygen Games has created some new assets for the title.

Players eagerly awaiting the release can now check out a play guide, trailer and all new screenshots for "World Championship Poker 2" at the company's Web site.
