There's no question that Phoenix Sun Shawn Marion dominates the courts but on Jan. 30 he's bringing his game to the felt.

According to a story in the Arizona Republic Marion will host a charity tournament on the 30th that will be full of sports superstars, entertainment-world celebrities and a number of average Joes, too.

The event, called Hearts & Helmets, will give regular folks the chance to meet and play against members of the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs as well as Patrick Warburton (you may know him as "Puddy" from Seinfeld), Olympic decathlon gold medalist Dan O'Brien and World Series MVP Jermaine Dye.

"This allows you to sit next to and hang out with the stars," said organizer Jeff Geller in the Republic article. "If you've got a chip and a chair, you're in."

In addition there will be silent and live auctions for prizes like Suns/Spurs floor seats, a private jet vacation, tickets to the Super Bowl, plasma TVs, autographed memorabilia, celebrity dinners, a trip to the World Series of Poker and invitations to exclusive events.

Each ticket will cost $1,000 per person but the money is being spread between a number of charitable organizations including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Fournier Center for Empowerment, Brad Pitt's Global Green USA Project for rebuilding New Orleans, ICAN International Cancer Advocacy Network, Junior Achievement, Free Arts of Arizona, Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, Suns Nite Hoops, the Jerome Bettis: Bus Stops Here Foundation and many more.

The event will take place 4:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with the location revealed upon registration. For more information go to
