NAPP Tour adds another stop

NAPP Tour, Inc., owner of the North American Poker Tour (NAPP Tour) and founder of the International Poker Association, announced yesterday it has added another stop to its 2006-2007 tournament schedule, the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. Called the Niagara Falls Open, the series will run from October 9-21, 2006, and will feature over 25 events culminating with a guaranteed $2 million No-Limit Hold'em Championship Event.

The International Poker Association also said it will be adding money to the prize pools of each of the 25 events, which include $200 to $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em events, a 32-player $5,000 Chinese Poker Event, a $5,000 Mixed Game, and the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship Event.

The $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em main event is limited to a field of the top 300 competitors. To earn a seat in the tournament, players must either win a qualifying tournament held at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel or be one of the ranked top 200 poker players in the world.

Frank Weber, President of Hansen Gray & Company, Inc., owner of NAPP Tour, Inc., said, "The addition of the Seneca Niagara Casino Hotel to NAPP Tour's growing roster of tournaments further entrenches its premiere position in the poker industry. As part of its strategic plan to capitalize on this explosive growth, NAPP Tour plans to broadcast its professional events on national television throughout 2006 and 2007."

Widely regarded as the first professional, standardized poker tour, the NAPP Tour will launch in May, 2006.
