By Erin Warner

There's a showdown at Pacific Poker and cold, hard cash is in the crosshairs. The site's latest promotion is offering players points to determine who will be top gun and earn the biggest portion of $12,500 in bonuses.

Event 1 of the Pacific Poker Survivor Showdown Series is already in the books, but you still have time to get in on the action.

To enter, play in 50¢/$1 games or higher between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. Pacific Poker Time on April 11, 19, 24 and 28 to start rustling up the points. For each game of Texas Hold'em, Omaha or Stud participants earn one point.

The top 50 players with the most points will earn bonuses. First place translates into a $200 payout, while second through fourth place finishers cash $150. A fifth to 10th place spot gets paid $75, with $50 going to 11th to 26th placed entrants and $25 to those placing from 27th to 50th.

The poker room will update an hourly leaderboard each day of the event for players to keep track of their standings.

And the rules are simple: to compete, you must deposit a minimum of $50 during event hours and you must be at a table with three or more active players.
