Carlos Mortensen, Cyndy Violette, and Antonio Esfandiari have signed on with Sports-Stuff.com Inc., a publisher and distributor of sports and entertainment related content for wide scale mobile platforms, to have their voices featured in cellular phone ringtones. They join fellow pros Men Nguyen, David Williams, and Evelyn Ng.
In early November, Sports-Stuff.com Inc. announced it had secured the exclusive rights to produce and publish voice ringtones, ringbacks, voicemail greetings, and wireless web (WAP) sites featuring Nguyen, Williams, and Ng, and promised more to come.
The new pros added to the selection are ranked as some of the world's foremost players, and bring to the table plenty of poker playing experience. Carlos Mortensen holds two World Series of Poker bracelets and one World Poker Tour title, and has won several major tournaments in the last four years; Cyndy Violette has been playing high stakes cash games for many years, and won her first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2004. She has further been featured at several final tables and been invited to play at the World Poker Tour's Ladies Night II event; Antonio Esfandiari has championed one World Series of Poker event and earned a World Poker Tour title.
"We are thrilled to have signed deals with these three players and to add them to the other poker pros we already have under contract," said President Kevin Day. "These three players are all highly respected in the poker community and have all been winners at major events. As well, they allow us to appeal to different demographics - Carlos is very well known with avid poker fans, Cyndy is a role model to young female players and Antonio has been very popular with the younger fans."
The company announced they anticipate further signings in the coming weeks, though no other names were released.
