More Everest players caught in the Avalanche

By Erik Sylven

The third Round 3 Everest Poker Avalanche satellite tournament was played Saturday, with 27 lucky players qualifying for the big online final. The online final will take place Sept. 17.

Everest Poker's Avalanche campaign has been going on for a couple of months, and will culminate in a live final which will take place at an undisclosed location where 10 players will compete for a huge prize.

The first step on the way is qualifying for the online final on Sept. 17, and there are several ways to get in on the action. You can either buy-in directly for $5,000+300 or try your luck in satellite tournaments.

Round 1 satellites are designed for players looking for little up-front risk: Buy-ins are $3+30¢ or $11+1.

Round 2 satellites are for players that are more confident in their ability and wish to save time. The buy-in is $56+5.

Round 3 satellites are the most expensive ones with a $530+30 buy-in. The third Round 3 satellite was played Saturday with 272 players entering the tournament.
