Mike Linster Books WPT Jacksonville Title for $321k

It was a long time coming for Mike Linster but the 15-year pro bagged his first WPT title yesterday in Jacksonville at the WPT bestbet Open.

Linster, who plays out of Island Park, New York and is a regular at the Borgata, defeated David Bell in an epic heads-up match to earn $321,521 and a seat in the $25k WPT Championship next month.

The heads-up match between the two lasted longer than the rest of the final table altogether, with Linster starting heads-up down 2-1 but wearing Bell down over 110 hands for the win.

Bell earned $175,512 for the runner-up finish.
