Mike “GoLeafsGoEh” Leah has the World Poker Tour Fallsview $1k event dialed in.

The Canadian outlasted a record 1,524-entry field to take down C$244,256 yesterday.

Leah is getting close to $6m lifetime live tournament earnings with just over $5.7m generated over the course of his career.

He won the Fallsview $1k in 2016 and 2014 as well. Fortunately for Leah this was the biggest first-place payout in the $1k tournament.

Leah Tops All-Canadian Final Table

To say the final table of the $1k event featured some Canadian content would be an understatement as the final nine players in the tournament all hailed from the Great White North.

Leah out-dueled Welland native Matthew Grocholsky heads-up to lock up the tournament.

The 2017 edition of the $1k side event was the biggest in the history of the Fallsview stop as smaller buy-in tournaments continue to attract eye-popping numbers on the live tournament circuit.

With the victory Leah got a tiny bit closer to passing Shawn Buchanan who sits in 7th place on the all-time Canadian live tournament earners list.

Next up for Fallsview is the $C5,000 Main Event, which begins tomorrow, Feb. 22, and runs through Feb. 24.

Here are the complete final-table payouts for the surprisingly robust $1k side event (all currency in CAD):

1. Mike Leah - $244,244
2. Matthew Grocholsky - $172,589
3. Danny Kalpakis - $112,201
4. Masoud Tavangari - $83,360
5. Timothy Deering - $62,620
6. Erik Tzvetanov - $50,498
7. Thomas Taylor - $41,333
