Microsoft folds free poker game plans
By Sarah Polson
Texas Hold'em Poker, a live arcade game for Xbox, has been delayed for release, and Microsoft has also scrapped its plan to make it free. The game was supposed to be launched this summer on the Xbox Live Arcade service without charge to consumers.
According to Xbox Live Arcade boss Greg Canessa, the game doesn't have a release date set yet and the game won't be free, though the final price hasn't been decided yet either.
It was Bill Gates along with Peter Moore who had made the initial announcement of the free game and its summer launch at the Consumer Electronics show. However, Microsoft confirmed that it had not provided any official details regarding the pricing of the game and that full details of the launch date will be announced later.
