A Fixed-Limit game is typically described in terms of the small bet and the big bet. For example, a $10/$20 Limit game has a small bet of $10 and a big bet of $20. Players may bet and raise in increments of the small bet before and after the flop. On the turn and river, they are forced to bet and raise in increments of the big bet.
A shorthanded table consists of between three and six players. Basic poker strategy, which is typically intended for a full-table game, must be modified to take into account the smaller number of opponents you face. Looser starting hand requirements and a more aggressive style are essential to succeeding in a shorthanded game.
