'_myst_' fogs online foes for $400k

By: Christopher Hunt

He apparently took some time off after finishing second in the European Poker Tour's Grand Final. Unfortunately for his rivals on the Prima Network, it wasn't an extended vacation, as feared high-stakes pro Marc "_myst_" Karam made his way back to the No-Limit Hold'em tables and played them to the tune of almost $400,000.

As reported on the High Stakes database Web site, Karam started off slow on his return to the high-stakes tables, losing a $124,000 pot near the beginning of a $200/$400 No-Limit Hold'em session Friday.

But Karam quickly rebounded and by 10 p.m. that evening was up $150k, taking big pots from players Dadovic and luckexpress, among others, along the way.

His biggest take came in a hand against Dadovic, when Karam hit a diamond flush on the turn and showed it down for a $148,380 pot.

By the time Sunday rolled around, Karam's stack had reached $487,987 and after five players joined the table, he ended up leaving with a profit of around $394,000.
