Marafioti, Greenstein Kick Off Poker Documentary Series
Last spring the PokerListings video crew traveled North America looking to put a new perspective on online poker and the people who play it.
The team picked two drastically different subjects in Barry Greenstein and Matt “ADZ124” Marafioti and then traveled to Toronto, Los Angeles and Las Vegas collecting footage and supporting interviews.
The resulting videos went live on PokerListings this week and viewers can check them out in our blog section.
Filmed with a documentary slant, the videos explore the high stakes world of poker and the lifestyle behind it.
Barry Greenstein is one of the most well known poker players in the world and has become one of the best ambassadors for the game in his 20+ years of playing.
In our first episode of EasyGame, Greenstein talks about how he got into poker and what it was like being around the game when the fabled poker boom of the early 2000s occurred.
Greenstein’s answers about whether poker really is an easy game may surprise you.
Candid Interview with Controversial Marafioti
The second episode of EasyGame provides a stark contrast to Greenstein as brash young gun Matt Marafioti is still establishing himself as a poker player.
Marafioti is one of the most controversial figures in the poker industry. He's been involved in a number of recent high-profile firestorms, including a series of Twitter blowups during the 2012 World Series of Poker and crossing paths with an alleged high-stakes hacking ring.
The video provides an in-depth look at the young pro both on the poker circuit and at his home in Toronto. It also features his father Sam, who offers some compelling insight into what makes his son tick.
Stay tuned for more entries in our EasyGame series.
