Mansion Poker wraps $250K event, adds $100K a Day
By Erin Warner
Mansion Poker player dipthrong fattened his wallet with $28,000 after winning the site's $250,000 Added Value Tournament series final today.
With more than $100,000 in prize money on the line, dipthrong played four hours and 32 minutes before knocking out newfoundglry in heads-up action.
Both players were all-in for what would be the final hand of the game. While newfoundglry held a K-5 off suit, dipthrong was staring down Big Slick, and an ace on the flop decided the game.
A second-place $17,955 prize was newfoundglry's for the taking.
The $30,000 added value final drew a crowd of 242 competitors who put up the $300+$20 buy-in for the No-Limit Hold'em event.
To celebrate the New Year, Mansion Poker is also launching its $100K a Day Guaranteed Poker Tournaments.
Every day, the site's schedule will include a 3:00 a.m. (GMT) tournament, starting today.
The prize pool for the events is guaranteed to be a minimum of $100,000, no matter how large the playing field.
