Mansion Poker player wins third $100k a Day
By Sarah Polson
The $100k a Day tournaments at Mansion Poker have proved to be a big payoff for many online players, but none as much as it's paid off for Russian player Evgene. He recently won a record third $100k a Day tournament.
His first two wins were early after the creation of the $100k a Day tournaments when he won the daily events on Jan. 17 and 21. The 43-year-old's third win on April 9 brings his $100k a Day winnings to $90,550.
To get his third win, Evgene went all-in with 7d-Jh during heads-up against jw170000, who called with Qs-4s. Lucky for Evgene, the flop came 7c-6s-Ad, giving him a pair.
The turn, a Kc, wasn't any help for jw17000. The river brought another ace, sealing the deal for Evgene with two pair.
Evgene has been playing poker for two year, and Mansion Poker says he is "euphoric" following his trio of first-prize wins.
"Even one was my best dream," Evgene said.
The $100k a Day tournaments are a dream for any player as Mansion Poker has contributed more than $5 million since the tournament's inception to boost the prize pools to the guaranteed amount.
According to Mansion Poker, the best time to get your money in the mix is during the 11 a.m. (GMT) tournaments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
"With their relatively lower attendance and fewer direct buy-ins, these daytime poker events are averaging a 60% overlay from Mansion," said the poker site.
The tournaments also run on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. (GMT).
"With an average of 533 runners ponying up the $100 buy-in every day and a minimum of $100,000 up for grabs, the time is right for players around the world to participate in this guaranteed tournament series," Mansion Poker said.Related Articles:
