A player's taste in poker tournaments can be as varied as a person's choices for toppings on pizza. Now Mansion Poker is offering players the chance to customize their tournaments just as easily as they can a pizza.
The poker site launched the "Create Your Own Tournaments" option this week that allows players to decide tournament buy-ins, game types, blinds structures and payout schedules for private tournaments.
"If you have between two and 50 players who are keen to play it your way, then 'Create Your Own Tournaments" at Mansion.com is for you," said Marc Goodwin, Mansion Poker ambassador and U.K. poker pro.
Players can also choose a start time to suit when they want to play as well as the game and limit type. The buy-ins can be as little as $5+50¢ up to $500+$25. Blinds can be set from turbo to normal to slow and payouts can be handled any which way the person wants, including winner takes all.
"What's better than a good game of cards amongst your mates to settle a score?" Goodwin said. "This is a great addition to the Mansion Poker site, so get some friends together and give it a go."
In a press release, Mansion Poker said the "Create Your Own Tournaments" are a great way to set up tournaments for "newbies" who are looking for a chance to test their skills and learn in a less intimidating environment. It takes only a few minutes to set up the tournaments. They're located in the "Private" tab in the Mansion Poker tournament lobby.
