Bodog.com has secured basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson to give the keynote address at the 2006 Bodog.com Marketing Conference in Las Vegas this summer. Hailed as "a superstar, an international icon, a business magnate, and a philanthropist," Johnson will headline the two-day conference with a speech about branding. The 2006 Bodog.com Marketing Conference will run from July 23-25 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
"Magic Johnson accomplished virtually everything a player could dream of during his basketball career," says Bodog.com founder and CEO, Calvin Ayre. "His skills on the court can only be matched by his business intuition off the court. Magic has served as a role model for many, and it is a privilege to have him speak to our delegates about branding - a topic I am extremely passionate about."
Johnson's career has extended far beyond the basketball court. He is the CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises (MJE) and oversees the direction of several MJE divisions, including Johnson Development Corporation, Magic Johnson Entertainment, Magic Johnson Productions, Magic's 32 Records, and Magic Johnson Management Group.
Johnson is also an active philanthropist. His nonprofit organization, the Magic Johnson Foundation, focuses on improving and addressing the health, educational, and social needs of inner-city youth and their communities.
