Seiver, Buddiga Rolling on Day 1 of Huge $25k Event
Meanwhile on the other side of the Aussie Millions poker room the prestigious $25,000 Challenge started yesterday with another record-breaking field.
Last year the tournament drew 65 entries but this year that number was up significantly with 93 players taking a seat.
The player list reads like a who’s who of high-stakes poker with Doug Polk, Dan Smith, Ole Schemion, Sorel Mizzi, Fabian Quoss, Tobias Reinkemeier, Erik Seidel and Winfred Yu making the journey to Australia for the event.
At the end of the day Ryan Fee (447,000), Scott Seiver (390,000) and Pratyush Buddiga (354,000) were amongst the chip leaders.
Registration is still open but with a $2 million prize pool already accumulated first-place in the tournament could be worth well over $700,000.
Action resumes tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. local time.
