Loyalty pays off for PL.com player at Betfair
By Sarah Polson
The monthly $1,000 loyalty freeroll for PokerListings.com players at Betfair Poker played recently with guile, a player from London, taking down the top prize.
The 35-year-old teacher plays poker online two or three times per week, the majority of that time at Betfair Poker.
"(It's a) brilliant betting site, really unique, excellent customer relations and the poker site is well developed," guile said.
The Londoner has been playing poker for six years, but has never played in a live tournament. The closest he came was winning a seat to the World Series of Poker at the site. However, his school couldn't let him take the time to go to the tournament.
He said this freeroll win was surprising easy. It must have been pretty easy to use up the money as well.
When asked what he would do with his winnings he said, "I have already lost it!!!"Perhaps he'll get another shot at the money next month. All PokerListings.com players who earn 100 Betfair points in a month are automatically entered into the next month's freeroll. He still has the rest of this month to build up points for the Dec. 9 event.
The top three players from the Nov. 11 loyalty freeroll were:
- guile
- Nevolilly
- Kate999
Betfair Poker isn't the only site handing out free cash to PokerListings.com players. Full Tilt Poker hosted its weekly $3,000 freeroll for players last weekend.
The top nine players in the event were:
- CDoubleU, $720
- rvizzle222, $450
- RODDOG23, $337.50
- larry1301, $255
- poker_bandido, $195
