London Poker Festival Set for August

The London Poker Festival is scheduled to take place Aug. 28-Sept. 28 with more than 100 poker-related events at a dozen different venues across the city.

Billed as the biggest poker festival in the world, the festival will occur right in the middle of the World Series of Poker Europe, PokerStars EPT London and the inaugural WPT London with more than £10 million in total estimated prizepools.

Local card rooms and casinos throughout the city will participate by hosting various events such as tournaments, satellites, cash games, player hosted parties, academies and more.

Poker fans will once again have the chance to attend Poker in the Park, which will take place in Leicester Square from Sept. 2-3, with several free 80-player poker tournaments and a number of poker strategy seminars.

Also in the mix for the 2010 London Poker Festival are the British Poker Awards, Balla Strip Poker Championship and a rock concert.
