Last week The World Poker Exchange announced a first round list of pro poker players slated to participate in the $2 million London Open this weekend.
Professional players scheduled to attend the tournament, which begins today and win run until August 6th, include The London Poker Exchange's very own Max Pescatori, as well as Tony Bloom, Chip Jett, Karina Jett and Robert Williamson. These pros are set to join celebrities Willie Garson, Nicholas Gonzalez, Mimi Rogers and Jennifer Tilly.
Additional pro players and celebrities are said to be joining the ranks of the existing participants although they have yet to confirm their attendance at this world class tournament, in which poker pros, celebrities, musicians, athletes, and your average "World Poker Exchange.
Hyped as a 'lifestyle tournament,' the 2005 London Open will be a one-stop shop tournament event. Not only will players compete for a healthy prize pool worth millions, but they will also enjoy a VIP reception, a private concert, lucrative shopping deals, and a $100,000 charity poker tournament. The event will be broadcast on Bravo, the UK's premiere men's channel, as well as on Ftn.
