Lodden, Juanda, Negreanu Cruise to EPT Grand Final Day 4
Pros Johnny Lodden, John Juanda and Daniel Negreanu are looking good with the EPT Grand Final down to just 34 players.
Lodden has been locked in for all of the Grand Final and after taking the chip lead yesterday with 605,200 he nearly doubled to 1.23 million to maintain his lead on the competition.
The famous Norwegian online player has never won a major live title but has cashed numerous times on the EPT.
It’s not the first time Lodden has gotten deep in the EPT Grand Final either. In 2008 Lodden was chip leader for much of the tournament but ended up coming in a disappointing 17th place.
Noted high roller John Juanda also had an impressive day building a top five stack of 939,000 chips.
Meanwhile Daniel Negreanu is coming off one of the biggest wins of his career, taking the WSOP APAC Main Event title for $1.08 million.
He played with confidence on Day 4 and amassed 684,000 chips.
Some of the other notables still in the running for the title of EPT grand champion are Andrew Pantling (943,000), Noah Schwartz (756,000), Freddy Deeb (670,000), Jake Cody (639,000) and Luke “FullFlush” Schwartz (188,000).
Here are the top 10 chip counts:
- 1. Johnny Lodden – 1,232,000
- 2. Steve O’Dwyer – 963,000
- 3. Andrew Pantling – 943,000
- 4. John Juanda – 939,000
- 5. Vasili Firsau – 837,000
- 6. Goran Mandic – 822,000
- 7. Noah Schwartz – 756,000
- 8. Jason Mercier – 746,000
- 9. Andreas Eiler – 709,000
- 10. Daniel Negreanu – 684,000
Anderson, Vamplew, 0Human0 Hit the Rail
As expected there were numerous eliminations on Day 4 including all-star online grinder Cal “Cal42688” Anderson, David Vamplew and Chad Brown.
Some of the other notable bustouts included Alec Torelli, James Mitchell, Ignat "0human0" Liviu and Randy "nanonoko" Lew.
Action in the star-studded EPT Grand Final resumes at 12 p.m. CET tomorrow. Follow the feature table live stream right here on PokerListings.com.
