11 months ago24-year-old Aaron Steury from Fort Wayne, Indiana won the $1,500 HORSE event, pocketing $289,283 and his first WSOP bracelet.
Steury defeated Adam Friedman heads-up, the match highlighted by what some are calling the call of the year. Steury won a big pot calling his opponent down with queen high in a hand of Seven-Card Stud.
Steury outlasted 963 players to clinch the victory.
