$5k NLHE Six-Max - Five Star Shootout
The Six-Max is now a 5-max as we have lost one participant in the last hour.
Being the last bracelet on the WSOP schedule prior to the Main Event, many of the railbirds who have come to ogle/cheer on their favourite celebrities in the “Ante Up For Africa” charity tournament, have sidled over to watch this final table play out.
As a result there is a thick band of spectators ringing the final table and there was an eardrum-bursting mixture of cheering and clapping at the last elimination.
Read on for the details.
Waxman Melted Down (6th)
Matthew Waxman was left short after being pushed off his hand by Matt Hawrilenko several hands earlier before he finally melted away.
His exit saw him three-bet his relatively small stack all-in following an opening raise from Sean Keeton.
With A
T
he may have felt he was well ahead of Keeton’s range, and that probably was the case given Keeton folded, although he hadn’t reckoned on Josh Brikis waking up with a pair of cowboys in the big blind.
Though he picked up a gutshot on the turn to escape his fate, he never got there meaning we are one more down in the race for a bracelet, Matthew Waxman combusting in 6th spot for $138,394.
Five handed for the bracelet, look just to the right to see the current chip standings.

$5k NLHE Six-Max – Less Dinner, More Action!
The six remaining players in this event have returned from their dinner break and are now setting about finding a winner in the last WSOP bracelet event before the Main Event.
Josh Brikis is the chip leader with 4.6 million chips but don’t count out Full Tilt Pro Matt Hawrilenko who has 3.7 million. You can get complete after-dinner chip counts on the sidebar to the right courtesy of www.worldseriesofpoker.com.
