Day 3 Live Updates

$5k NLHE Six-Max - Keeton's Miaow't 5 months ago

It seems as though the $5k is keeping up a steady rate of attrition of one player per level and this remained the case over the last hour.

That loss leaves the players three-handed for the bracelet and there is a growing excitement amongst the players and rail with the bracelet now on the table so they can all clearly see just what is at stake.

Here’s the story of the last hour.

Out of Control

The final table of this event has one of the most active rails we’ve seen this summer. Although most of the Amazon Room is empty there is a thick crowd formed around the table and the majority seem to be highly inebriated.

Yevgeniy Timenshenko is one such individual and he’s been shouting at the remaining players to play him heads-up.

We also just heard one individual shout, “Take it all off!” to one of the female railbirds.

It’s certainly a party at the last event before the Main Event.

Keeton’s Got Claws – But No Chips (4th)

When Faraz Jaka opened to 200k, Sean Keeton showed he wasn’t going to be pushed around, shipping his stack in for just over 2 million.

No doubt expecting some insta-folds, he instead found Matt Hawrilenko insta-shipping all-in.

Jaka jacked it in, leaving Hawrilenko free to turn over pocket jacks.

The situation wasn’t dire for Keeton, he had two overs in As Qd and we were facing the classic coin-flip.

However when the board ran out ten-high, there was to be no redemption or double-up for Keeton as he succumbs in 4th spot for a pretty tasty $269,983.

Three-handed for the bracelet with a group of aggressive players, this could play out pretty quickly so brace yourselves for what should be a grandstand finish.

Matt Hawrilenko holds a sizeable advantage now as he hunts down his first WSOP bracelet.

$5k NLHE Six-Max - Paint It Black 5 months ago

The lights have gone out for one more competitor, who trudges off richer but bracelet-less.

The players have been on break for the last twenty minutes, but just prior to that we saw the elimination that leaves the $5k four-handed.

Here's news of that bustout along with the latest standings.

I Thought You Said Top, Top! (Wexler - 5th)

Blind on blind, short-handed Ad Ts must look pretty good.

It certainly looked good enough to Jonas Wexler, who got in a raising war with small blind Sean Keeton, eventually calling his four-bet shove all-in.

Unfortunately for him he'd run into "the nuts" - certainly one hand he didn't want to see As Kc. A board of blanks and king on the river sealed a double for Keeton, whilst Wexler was left crippled.

Moments later, he looked down at Kd Qh and decided to strike against Josh Brikis' opening raise.

His insta-shove was insta-called however as Brikis again had him in bad shape with Ad Qd.

"Sigh," thought Wexler at having run into a dominating hand again.

He made top pair on the turn, but the queen was no good as Brikis had top, top.

No river love and Jonas Wexler had six-packed it in and was out, busted in 5th for $189,555.

So four-handed, that big pot catapults Josh Brikis to the top of the rankings though Matt Hawrilenko is breathing down his neck.
