Event 20 - $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em - Live Updates
Day 1 Live Updates
$3K H.O.R.S.E. – Power of the Schwartz
3 years agoTeam PokerStars Pro Ylon Schwartz is putting on an impressive performance as the day begins to wear on.
The fourth place finisher in the 2008 WSOP Main Event hasn’t had a great deal of tournament success this year but he’s starting make up for lost time by putting his game into overdrive for this event.
Schwartz is past 120,000 chips and climbing quickly.
We’re down to 104 players in Event 21 and the battle to make it to Day 3 continues. Here’s a look at the last hour of play:
Riding Off into the Sunset
We’ve lost quite a few more players including Doyle Brunson, Victor Ramdin, Jimmy “Gobboboy” Fricke, Billy “The Croc” Argyros, Chau Giang, Berry Johnston and Mel Judah.
Newhizzle Chased
Mark “Newhizzle” Newhouse has been eliminated. Newhouse got the last of his chips into the middle during a round of Seven-Card Stud. Newhouse had a flush draw but missed completely against his opponent’s two-pair. Newhouse is perhaps most well-known for winning the 2006 WPT Borgata Championship for $1.5 million.

You Can’t Kill a Cockroach
Nikolay Evdakov, who some are calling “The Cockroach” thanks to his ability to survive in poker tournaments, is once again looking to go deep in a WSOP event.
Evdakov cashed for a record 10 times in the 2009 WSOP and took home over $200,000 in cash for his efforts. Evdakov also caused minor controversy when he was accused of stalling when the money bubble approached.
Evdakov will have to make to the 48 player mark if he wants to add yet another cash to his WSOP resume.
